A Book Exhibition has been organized in the college library in association with Sanguine publications, Bangalore on 27.09.2013 and also on 12.09.2013 & 13.09.2013. Students were allowed to select the books they require from the collection and offered the books at discounted rates.

AMCAT Skill Assessment Test for CS, IS and EC Students
AMCAT Employability Skill Assessment Test has been arranged in the campus on 28.09.2013. Students can make use of this facility.
AMCAT is India’s first employability assessment test which focuses on entry level jobs for freshers. A Blood Donation Camp was organized in association with Red Cross Society, Lions Club, Devanahalli and ISHRAE Bangalore Chapter on 27.09.2013 in the college Auditorium. Dr. S G Gopala Krishna inaugurated the event. Shri Janardhan Bhat, Physical Education Director Co-ordinated the programme. About 300 students donated blood during the programme.

Inauguration of First year M.Tech classes for the academic year 2013-14
Inauguration of First year M.Tech classes for the academic year 2013-14 was arranged on 23.09.2013 at the College Auditorium. Dr. K S Deshikachar, Director, NES and Dr. S.G. Gopala Krishna, Principal, inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. Dr. C V Srinivas, HOD-Civil, Global Academy of Technology, Bangalore was the Chief Guest for the programme.

The classes for M.Tech programmes in Machine Design, VLSI and Embedded Systems, Structural Engineering , Construction Technology and Computer Science and Engineering were inaugurated during the event.

A one day workshop is organized by the department of Mechanical Engineering on “Modelling and Analysis of Computational Fluid Dynamics” on 21.09.2013.
Dr. N G S Udupa, Vice Principal, NCET, presided over the function. Dr. Wilson Lawrence, Manager(R & D), Ingersoll Rand, Bangalore was the Chief Guest. Dr. N Kapilan, HOD-Mech, welcomed the gathering. Dr. Siddesh M, HOD-ME(2nd Shift) proposed vote of thanks. Mr. Yogeesha H.C., Asst. Professor, was the master of ceremony for the function.
The inaugural event was followed by expert lecture from Dr. Wilson Lawrence, Manager(R&D), Ingersoll Rand and Mr. Jayashankar Ray, Engineer, MaxWatt Turbines Private Limited, Bangalore. In the Post-lunch session, Prof N Balakrishnan from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore delivered a lecture on CFD in Aerodynamics. About 128 students from 5th Semester and 7th Semester Mechanical branch participated in the workshop.
A Talk on “Educational Loan Facilities” by Canara Bank Officials
A talk on “Educational loan facilities” by Canara Bank officials was organized on 20.09.2013 at the College Seminar Hall. Students were given information about the process of availing educational loan facilities from the bank. Dr. S G Gopala Krishna, Principal, NCET inaugurated the event. About 100 students participated in the event. Application forms were distributed by the bank officials to the interested students.
Our Students Won Third Prize in IISc. Climate Change Quiz
Ms. Keerthana and Ms. Chaitra of 5th Semester Biotechnology have participated in the Indian Institute of Science(IISc) Climate Change Quiz on 19.09.2013 and won Third Prize which included a cash prize of Rs. 4,000/- and a trophy. The students were accompanied by staff members Mrs. Sharada T, HOD-Physics and Dr. Manjunath K, HOD-Chemistry.

Presentation on Student Feedback Mechanism
A Presentation on Student Feedback Mechanism for the First Year students was arranged on 19.09.2013 at the College Auditorium. Dr. S G Gopala Krishna, Principal-NCET presented the process of taking feedback from the students for improving the teaching learning process and explained each question from the Feedback form. The presentation was arranged separately for Physics Cycle and Chemistry Cycle students. About 550 students attended the presentation. Dr. Harisha P, Dean and First Year Co-ordinator co-ordinated the activities. Mr. Yogeesha H C., Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering has developed the Online Student Feedback Mechanism and is being used in the college since last two years.
