Fresher’s Welcome function was arranged by Civil Engineering Forum, Department of Civil Engineering on 26.08.2013. Third Semester Civil Engineering students entering into the branch are welcomed by the seniors to the department. Dr. S.G Gopala Krishna, Principal, NCET, presided over the function. Dr. Mohan Kumar T M, HOD-UG-First Shift, Dr. Nagendra V, HOD-UG-Second Shift, Dr. Rajendra, HOD-PG were present on the occasion. A Guest Lecture was also arranged on this day.

A one day workshop on “Python Programming” was organized on 17.08.2013 by the Department of Information Science and Engineering. The Programme was inaugurated by Dr. S.G. Gopala Krishna, Principal, NCET. The 5th and 7th Semester ISE and CSE students attended the programme.

Inauguration of First Year B.E. Classes for the academic year 2013-14

Standard

The inauguration of First year B.E. Classes for the academic year 2013-14 was arranged 19-09-2013 at the college. Mr. Ramesh, Senior Manager(HR) from Textron India was the Chief Guest for the day. Shri Sekahar Raju, Director-NES, presided over the function. Mr. Chaitanya J Verma, CEO-NES was the guest of honour. Dr. S G Gopala Krishna, Principal, NCET welcomed the gathering. Dr. N G S Udupa, Vice Principal-NCET proposed vote of thanks.

On 19-09-2013 and 20-09-2013, orientation programme for the freshers was also arranged. Dr. K N Hari Bhat, Dean and Dr. N G S Udupa, Vice Principal addressed the students.

FDP on HVAC,Energy Conservation and Green Energy Technology by Mech Dept.

Standard

A one week Faculty Development Programme on “Advances in HVAC, Energy Conservation and Green Energy Technology” was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with ISHRAE, Bangalore chapter from 24.07.2013 to 27.07.2013. Dr. Ananth Raj, Executive Secretary, VGST, Government of Karnataka has inaugurated the programme. Shri Nirman Ram, President Elect, ISHRAE, Dr. K S Deshikachar, Director, NES and Dr. S G Gopala Krishna, Principal, NCET were present on the occasion. Experts from various industries delivered invited talks in the programme. Dr. Kapilan, HOD, Mechanical Department was the convener of the programme.
