Planting of Saplings by the Dept of Mechanical Engineering
50 Tree Sapling were planted in the college campus by the Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with ISHRAE Chapter, Bangalore on 17.09.2013. Students were involved in planting tree saplings in the college campus. Dr. S G Gopala Krishna, Principal-NCET inaugurated the event by planting a sapling. Dr. Kapilan N, HOD-Mechanical(UG), Mr. C Janardhan Bhat, Physical Education Director and Dr. Harisha P, Dean were present on the occasion. The sapling were planted near the department of Mechanical Engineering and newly built Indoor Sports and Gymnasium Building.

Engineer’s Day was celebrated on 16.09.2013 by the Department of Civil Engineering. Flowers were offered to the Statue of Sir M.Visvesvaraya’s placed in front of the Library Block. Ganesha Chaturthi Festival Celebrated at NCET Hostel and MBA Department
Ganesha Chaturthi Festival was celebrated at NCET Hostel under the leadership of Chief Warden Prof. Sarvesha M V, HOD-Mathematics. Dr. S G Gopala Krishna, Principal, Dr. N G S Udupa, Vice Principal, Dr. Harisha, Dean and various Heads of the departments visited the hostel and participated in the Pooja.
Ganesha Festival was also celebrated by the Department of Management Studies. Dr. Sandhya N, Director-MBA invited Principal and other Section Heads to the department and all were participated in the Ganesha Pooja.

Our Student Mr. Bhargav Shridhar of 7th Semester Computer Science and Engineering has won Accenture’s Innovation Jockey Award for the Season 2.

Bhargav Sridhar from NCET, Bangalore won the prize for the ‘Best Innovation in the Retail category’ for his ‘Automated Intelligent Shopping Cart’ – an innovation that he christened KART.
Accenture in partnership with Yahoo announced the winners of the second season of Accenture Innovation Jockeys, The Hunt for India’s most Innovative Minds in a glittering award ceremony held in Bangalore on August 30th.
This year’s contest focused on Game-Changing Technology Innovation in Retail, Finance and Public Services, and it aimed to discover bright, young, home-grown innovators – and encouraged them to take responsibility for driving significant change. The participants submitted their ideas online through a microsite developed for the contest-innovationjockeys.yahoo.net. The winners were announced for the categories: Grand Prize, Public Services, Retail and Jury’s choice.
