First Day (12-08-2016):-

Introduction to VIRTUAL LAB and its applications by Dr. K.V. Gangadharan, Virtual lab Institute Coordinator, NITK, Surathkal
Introduction to CAMERA TRAP and 3D CAMERA by Dr. Pruthviraj U. Coordinator for SOM and FM lab, NITK, Surathkal.
Introduction to REMOTE TRIGGER EXPERIMENTS by M-Tech. research scholars of NITK, Surathkal.
Practical session (Hands on session).
Sub-Topics covered (Related to virtual labs) by research scholars of NITK(Ph.D and M-Tech.)

Second Day (13-08-2016):-

Practical session (Hands on session)
Demo on Izod and charpy (Modified Set up) by M-Tech. research scholars of NITK.
Demo on Simply supported beam, cantilever beam, etc. (Modified set up). by M-Tech. research scholars of NITK.
College wise quiz computation was conducted, out of 8 students two got 1^st and 2^nd

Photos of Inauguration of First Semester Classes

Standard

First Semester Classes for the Academic Year 2016-17 was inaugurated on 1.8.2016. Dr. Ganesh Raj, Project Director (Respond), Indian Space Research Organization(ISRO), Bengaluru was the chief guest for the programme and Dr. Paul Rodregus, Prof. Dept. of CSE, King Khalid University, Abha, Saudi Arabia was the guest of honour. Dr. Dr.K S Deshikachar, Director-NES, presided over the function. S G Gopala Krishna, Principal, Dr. N G S Udupa, Vice Principal(Administration), Dr. Srikantha Murthy K, Vice Principal(Academic) were present on the occasion.

MOU with Academy of Sanskrit Research, Melukote

Standard

An MOU has been signed between NCET and Academy of Sanskrit Research, Melukote during the visit to Melukote by Dr. K S Deshikachar, Director-NES and Dr. S G Gopala Krishna, Principal-NCET on 29.07.2016. Dr. Y S Kumaraswamy, Dean(R&D) and Prof. Sridhar accompanied.

MOU with UTL Technologies for setting up Model Training Centre of NSDC

Standard

An MOU has been signed between NCET and UTL Technologies Limited, Bangalore to setup Model Training Centre known as Pradhan Mantri Koushal Kendra(PMKK), an initiative of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Govt of India. The PMKK will offer Skill Development Programmes for youth thus making them industry ready.
