Ms. Keerthana and Ms. Chaitra of 5th Semester Biotechnology have participated in the Indian Institute of Science(IISc) Climate Change Quiz on 19.09.2013 and won Third Prize which included a cash prize of Rs. 4,000/- and a trophy. The students were accompanied by staff members Mrs. Sharada T, HOD-Physics and Dr. Manjunath K, HOD-Chemistry.

Our Student Mr. Bhargav Shridhar of 7th Semester Computer Science and Engineering has won Accenture’s Innovation Jockey Award for the Season 2.
Bhargav Sridhar from NCET, Bangalore won the prize for the ‘Best Innovation in the Retail category’ for his ‘Automated Intelligent Shopping Cart’ – an innovation that he christened KART.
Accenture in partnership with Yahoo announced the winners of the second season of Accenture Innovation Jockeys, The Hunt for India’s most Innovative Minds in a glittering award ceremony held in Bangalore on August 30th.
This year’s contest focused on Game-Changing Technology Innovation in Retail, Finance and Public Services, and it aimed to discover bright, young, home-grown innovators – and encouraged them to take responsibility for driving significant change. The participants submitted their ideas online through a microsite developed for the contest-innovationjockeys.yahoo.net. The winners were announced for the categories: Grand Prize, Public Services, Retail and Jury’s choice.
