National Level Talent Hunt Event “IT Olympiad-2016”

National Level Talent Hunt Event “IT Olympiad-2016”, will be organized by “Virtual Laboratory project team at COEP” in collaboration with “Computer Society of India (CSI)”, NASCOM, and “Rotary Club of Pune Pride”. Main features of this competition are to reach to maximum engineering college students to build their technical competency profile, identify their strengths and areas for improvement, and share their profiles with the industries. Similarly through this platform we wish to mentor the needy students about career guidance, and upcoming technologies in this field. The detailed schedule for the “IT Olympiad” will be as follows:

Registration and Initial screening: 11~14 February 2016 (Online)
Shortlisted candidates for Stage 1 test (Registration fees) : 14~ 17 February 2016 (Online)
Stage 2 and Skype call interview of selected candidates:18~21 February (Online)
Grand Finale at COEP (Quiz) : 27th February 2016 at 2 pm

Online Certification Programme by NPTEL

VTU E-learning centre, Mysuru, has set up VTU-NPTEL Local Chapter. The main objective of this chapter is to introduce the initiatives of NPTEL.

NPTEL has launched the certification programmes scheduled to commence from January 2016. Courses are available in various disciplines for enrollment of staff and students of the college.

Enrollment and learning from these courses are free.
