Activities of Hobby Club

Few important evening activities Hobby Clubs:

 

Dancing Club on 15th October 2015 @ Auditorium.  5 pm – 7.15pm

60 Student were attended. 22 students were actively involved in dance practice. 
External  Choreographer Mr Prashanth – Dance studio Yalahanka( who has worked for few kannada films)has demonstrated easy steps methodically and helped our students to learn few dance sequences in shortest span of time.We got good feedback from our students that they got very good relaxation and could learn dance steps very easily.

Music / Singing Club on 17th  October 2015 @ Auditorium.  5 pm – 7.00pm

 
40 students were actively involved in Singing Practice. External Singers Gopinath and Sangeetha have demonstrated their expertise on Guitar and Key board. Many Nepali students shown interest to learn Guitar. We got good feedback from students that they want to learn vocal and other instrument as well.

Speaking Club on 19th  October 2015 @ Auditorium.  5 pm – 7.15pm

 
 
70 Boys and 30 girls (from Hostels) were actively participated in the session. We got two faculty members Mrs Aruna and Mrs Anu from our Nagarjuna PU college yalahanka, and have taken speaking roles effectively.
 
We also got  Toastmaster Vindya  Ex HR – and Toastmaster Prasad from Beechi Toastmasters Sahakaranagar Club
and they have given excellent speeches to enthrall our students. Some of our students got opportunities to stand up and speak for rapid fire topics and they have become more confident to speak frequently and fluently. Program went on well and students gave good feedback and shown interest to be part of future sessions.

Movie club started and shown three super hit movies on  every weekend at our Auditorium.

First movie :  Baby  (Hindi)
Fast and Furious 7  ( English)
and
Bajrangi Bhaijan  ( Hindi)  on 25th Saturday 3Pm at Auditorium.
Students were  happy and enjoyed all hit movies shown

We also have a plan to start a Literary club and Photography club in future depending on the availability of Resource Persons.

Dr. Ramesh S, Deputy General Manager, Bosch India Limited, inaugurated the event. Dr. S G Gopala Krishna, Principal, NCET, presided over the inaugural function. Dr. Kasturi Rangan, Professor, IISc and Shri C Subramaniyam, President, ASHRAE, Bangalore chapter were the guest of honour. Dr. N G S Udupa, Vice Principal, welcomed the gathering. Dr. N Kapilan, HOD-Mechanical & Convener of the conference read a brief report about the conference. Dr. M S Govinde Gowda, Dean-Academics, proposed vote of thanks. Mr. Yogeesha H C., Associate Professor-Mechanical performed the master of ceremony. The various sessions were chaired by Dr. Shrinivas Reddy, Principal, RLJIT, Dr. Devaraj, Prof-Mechanical, SJCIT, Dr. Harisha, dean, NCET, Dr. Y S Kumaraswamy, Dean(R&D), Dr. N G S Udupa, Vice principal, Dr. Kantharaj, Prof-Mechanical and Dr. M S Govinde Gowda, Dean-Academic, NCET. About 78 papers were presented during the conference and proceedings of the conference was published in the form of a CD and given to to participants.

Visit to ISRO HQ on 14.10.2015

Our Principal Dr. S G Gopala Krishna along with Dr. Y S Kumaraswamy, Dean(R&D), Dr. Shantha Kumar Patil, HOD(CSE) and Mr. Biswajitpal, Ph.D Scholar of NCET visited ISRO on 14.10.2015, the day of World Standards Day /International Standards Day. They have interacted with Shri A S Kiran Kumar, Chairman, ISRO on this occasion.
